March 14th! Yay!

After years of procrastination and near-starts at WGU Business...found Sophia Learning in November, then found Pierpont (getting the 2 yr BOG AAS this May) and now UMPI.

My first time at college was summer of 1983, before I went to high school......Basic Programming.  We went to a lecture hall and the professor showed flowcharting of programming on an overhead projector, then we would book time in the computer room on the DEC terminals. So wild to see that 1 credit on the UMPI transfer list. UMPI took all of the other various classes I took through the years as well. 

My plan is to complete the BABA Leadership degree by December of 2023.

I was reading that too, I think it was a typo... unless they plan on taking several terms for an in between break...

Hi.  December of 2023 is my personal deadline, which coincides with a current career goal that will occur january 2024.

If I finish sooner, great.   But am not planning to accelerate or give myelf an earlier deadline until I get my cadence of UMPI going.

Are you transferring in any credits? I can't imagine it taking 1.5 years to complete a degree in YourPace. I completed 2 in less time.

That would seem like a long timeline, even if you were doing 20 courses at UMPI.

Most of us on this forum prefer to sprint for cost savings, but you take whatever pace works best for your situation. You’re giving yourself enough of a cushion to where you won’t lose morale if you need to take a break for whatever reason. That’s really important. Life happens. I know that all too well. You’ll probably find yourself accelerating once you get into your groove.

UMPI currently shows 101 transfer credits. Good to hear about the pacing; maybe if I finish up the BABA I'll move right into the MAOL!

How long did it take for you to get your transcripts evaluated from UMPI?

It did take awhile. It may have been due to holidays and my mis-understanding the process and I really wasn't on a tight timeline; had already planned on/accepted at/transcripts transferred to  WGU Business

12/9 approx -or prior - spoke with one of their recruiters when I phoned in to get info on the program. 
12/10 YourPace Application Received
12/16 Thank you for applying!  and I got a student ID , email and account unlock key
1/5 email to Barbara and Alex to check on update. 
1/6-7 - they forward on my emails
1/14 reply back from the Yourpace email address from Jessica
2/1 I located my pending transcript transfer file in the portal
2/3 appt w/Jessica.
2/3 discussion of pending transfer credits - email with follow up on details
2/4 onward - I do the Accounting course on Sophia since I had unlocked from the WGU Sophia specific courses, once I understood it would possibly clear off the accounting 150 course at UMPI. also finished up Art History II. 
2/12 follow up email 
2//23 - credits are listing from my 2/3 discussion/email., though there was an error in that someone elses courses also got onto my account. i let her know, and they got removed in a few days
2/24 paid the bill. 
3/3 the accounting and art II class not yet listing, and still enrolled in the accounting 150 for 3/14 start. just going to give it a few days , just grateful and hoping the sophia accounting does clear the umpi accounting .
****update, for 150 Bus Intro to Financial Accounting it now shows in UMPI in my course list as BOTH In Progress AND Transferred.

about 101 credits are currently listing as transferred in. well, if I finish early perhaps I'll just slide over to the MAOL program!

You'll have to complete a minimum of 30 credits at UMPI. UMPI puts all of your courses in your transcript. I had 196 credits before I started at UMPI. Now it's a ridiculous amount of credits since I completed 2 degrees at UMPI.
