I was wondering if anyone had tried transferring Prior Learning credit from regionally-accredited colleges into TESC.
I can get PLA credits for $60 / course from my college, and I want to avoid paying full TESC tuition for classes I wouldn't even actually take.
Has anyone tried this? Is there a TESC fee to transfer in these credits?
Thank you in advance. This board is an invaluable resource, so glad I stumbled upon it.

What school are you looking at for $60 / course? I would love to know as I am trying to sort out the whole PLA mess... let us in on the secret!
PM me if you don't want anyone else to know (lol)

Bucks County Community College in Pennsylvania offers it for $60 a pop. I actually live in Bucks County, so I'm not sure if it would be more for out-of-area students ?? They also have this articulation agreement with TESC that I think will let me get in-state tuition, so that's nice.

I don't think anyone is ignoring you, I just don't think anyone knows. Here is my guess- my guess is that they will accept it without hesitation since your home college is RA. It will be classified by TESC according to the prefix your home college assigned, and you will be given only credit- not a grade. Since your home college is a community college, no course number will be higher than 299. I also would assume that these credits count toward the 90 credit CC cap.
Honestly, I think you should try it. $60 is cheaper than CLEP. Let me know how it goes.
