Does anyone know how the TECEPs are sent out to proctors (Fedex, USPS, email)? I had a proctor request denied last term, has anyone used a non-library test center. I have weird hours and do not like ProctorU. Thoughts or suggestions...Ellis

The exams are sent via USPS. If memory serves, a student mentioned they are sent via FedEx internationally.
If your local library was denied, why not check libraries in bordering towns, or closest city? You can check their websites to see if they offer the service then give them a call to inquire on fees, etc.
You might also consider using the cummunity college testing center.

Do you know if they require them to be signed for by the proctor or if the onsight staff can sign for it. I think the hours my proctor was available could be the issue. Most of the time, the hours I can test are after midnight and before 6 am, it creates some issues

At TESC if you are enrolled you can take your TECEP exam online. That way you can take it in your own home. All you need is a camera on your computer, good internet access and a mike. The proctor will be watching you the whole time and you can ask them for guidance any time you want. It's a pretty neat way to take a proctored exam. Just have to contact their testing department and you might have to fill out a form I think. But the process is very simple. They give you a date and time and you just sit at your own computer and take the proctored exam online. Hope this information helps.

I think you would need to discuss that with the proctor. The proctor on record is the one who will have to sign off. At my library there were two people (Head Librarian and Librarian Children's Dept) who served as proctors, they both were added to my proctor form. If one wasn't available, the other was. In your case as long as the employee who sits and watches you can be trusted, it would be up to the proctor if he/she would sign off when they get to work in the morning. Of course I wouldn't add that arrangement to the proctor form.
Can you do a Saturday? My library had Saturday morning hours. The only other option, which I used, would be to schedule a 1/2 personal/vacation day and take all exams together. Taking both midterms and finals (if required) would be one excused day per semester. Hopefully your supervisor knows you are attending school and would be willing to allow the personal time. That is a perfect case of why personal/vacation days are issued.
If none of these options are possible, you may end up having to purchase a cheap, bare bones computer to use specifically for this purpose.
