I'll be taking the Organizational Behavior - Dantes test next week and wanted to hear from the ones that have taken this test. Was it a difficult test? I'm finding it hard to stay focused as I find this subject a little dull, but am continuing on with my studying. I hear there are a lot of situational questions and am wondering if I should focus more on the examples in the textbook.
I am using the IC flashcards, peterson and am reading "Organizational Behavior human behavior at work" (I know I won't be able to complete this book before the test, and the chapter summaries fall short of great explanations). I cannot fail this exam as this is the second last test before completing my BA in Liberal Studies. So far I haven't failed any of the tests but I guess I am becoming more concerned as I am drawing near the finish line and time limits are set up (I'm spending an extra weekend on this one, it's the only time I have left).
I appreciate any feedback.
Thank you,
Emmanuella

look in the exam-specific section for more on this exam
Just scored a 68...
.......Using only IC and 1 time through Dsst Exam guide and sample tests. There is a lot of overlap from HR Management and both Principles of Supervision and Management. I had a lot of situational questions, a few on Maslow's theory, 9x9 managerial grid, power, politics and structure. This is a "gimme" if you have any business experience and a small amount of common sense. As always- know IC, pass the test- BUT READ/UNDERSTAND THE EXPLANATIONS, don't just know the answer to the blank. DSST site filled in a couple of holes for me. Hope this helps, Greg

Thank you so much for your feedback Greg, I really appreciate it.
I do have some common sense but unfortunately I've never taken HR Mgmt nor Principles of Supervision & Mgmt. I've printed out all the IC flashcards w/their explanations. 68 is a good score only with IC, from what I've read that translates into an A with ACE. I may have to study harder since I don't have the Mgmt background. I will read more intently what you have suggested.
Thank you again Greg and have a good day

I found that Organizational Behaviour was one of the easiest tests that I took. That doesn't mean that you will find it easy but if you study IC and know your hiearchies you should do fine.

Organizational Behavior is not a "hard" test. If you know and understand most of the IC questions 75%+ you will pass. The chapter summaries you are reading won't hurt and the Free DSST guide with some overview and practice will help. I remember mine counting as an A at Excelsior and I had done Principles of Management and Intro to Business. Don't sweat the test just drill with IC and understand the explanations.

I have to take this test as well, but seem to have hit a road block studing since taking a break in november. I had been averaging 4-5 exams for 4 consecutive months, however, since thanksgiving I have come to a standstill at 60 credits. I have been trying to studing for this exam, but for some reason the material seem to be eluding me, not because it's hard, but it's substance less I guess. And I have been thinking about moving on to something else, maybe personal finance and another subject to reignite the flame.
I apologize for my ranting, I need to get up fire once again, what do you guys suggest I do, or should I, "just shut up and do it" like Nike"

If have an excellent study guide (got a 68) for Organizational Behavior that supplements the material in IC quite well. It's only about 70 pages long; if anyone wants it, just send me a PM.

Hi SWISHA2K
I have read your post about a great study guide you have and would be willing to send it to whomever asks.
I would love it if you'd be willing to send me a copy of your study guide for organizational behavior. My exam is this Tuesday but I may postpone it until this Friday to make sure I pass. 68 is a great score for OB, congratulations on your score.
Thank you in advance, I appreciate your assistance very much.
