Order to take math/accounting exams???
#1
I have to take the following exams to finish my associates degree so I can transfer to a 4 year school for finance or accounting.

CLEP Macroeconomics, DSST Principles of Statistics, DSST Principles of Financial Accounting, and CLEP Calculus.

I have a few others I have to take as well but I was mostly wondering what order I should take these in?

Macroeconomics would be first, and I start a microeconomics class on March 7th, but what would be the best order to take the other 3?

Statistics, then accounting, and then calculus?

Do any of them build on the others... or would the order not really matter?

Please consider doing macro and micro clep tests since they are doable. Stats and finance are hard so I used aleks and penn foster which are ace approved but your brick and mortar might not accept ace credits. You should consider doing a bsba at tesc. Its the fast track and many on here are in it or have completed it. You could realistically be done in six months or less.

Done in 6 months with a finance degree? I don't want a generic degree or a degree in something like history. I want to major in finance, not business management or anything of the like.

I'm listening... lol

I looked up the degree planner online and it looks almost identical to the one of the school I'll be attending, so I don't see how I could be done much faster....

But is there a place on the website where I can see what CLEP or DSSTs I can use for what classes on the finance degree?

I don't think the Navy will pay for ALEKs or Straighterline....

Tesc has financial institution management. You can get some classes through them for the concentration and kenn foster has some too. I think dsst money and banking fits in there somewhere. Post in the exelsior tesc forum that you want guidance on financial mgmt if you'd lil. Someone will help you. I can also run a degree eval on my credits to see whaat I have left to do for the financial degree.

MA2 - have you paid already for your Mar 7 Microeconomics class? I bet that you could even be done with the CLEP by then.

Macro is the only CLEP I've failed, but if you read the feedback I left, it was only because I got overconfident and didn't study enough because everyone said how easy it was. When I was taking the test, I realized that it wasn't that hard... I just didn't do enough work.

Anyhow, of course if you want to take the class, you should do so, but they are both very doable exams.

I think that's a good order. Calc1 is more or less disconnected from the other two. Taking stats before calc won't help you with calc.

The Navy paid for the class and I can drop it with no penatly until the 14th. The reason I signed up for it was to meet the residency requirement at that school, so I only have to take 4 classes from that school my first semester instead of 5 and I'd have my AA degree. It's half online, half in class.
