Option(s) for replacing TESU CIS-107 (Computer Concepts and Applications)
#1
What are the options to meet the required 3 credit computer for the TESU BSBA General Management (Gen Eds - Understanding the Physical and Natural World)? I know I could take TECEP CIS-107, but I'm hoping that there is a cheaper option for this - Saylor offer anything? Study.com?

Saylor Introduction to Computer Science I, $25.

There's a CLEP or DSST as well, which would be a little cheaper than the TECEP.

Business 109: Intro to Computing @ Study.com is the only computer credit course I see. This will cover it? I already have an active Study.com account.

Although Saylor being $25 is hard to beat. I'm still taken back that none of my existing computer credits from CC counted to cover this requirement, but alas need to move forward.

If you do take the tecep, it's extremely easy especially if you know anything about computers. My only suggestion to a more causal user would be to study up on security side of things.

have you already checked with an advisor to make sure none of these can be moved to that slot?

What community college computer courses have you taken? There is the $25 Saylor course that was mentioned. Davar and Study.com has a course for $70.
You can try and appeal with TESU. Then there's the two computer courses at Straighterline, IT fundamentals and C++ Programming. Take your pick.

Study.com also has Info Systems & Computer Applications that will work.

But, a CC computer course should work here. I would appeal that decision.

If the appeal doesn't work, I'd suggest first trying Saylor's practice test to see if you can knock it out easy. If you try Study.com instead, of their two courses, Intro to Comp and Info System & Comp Applications, the intro to comp is shorter to complete. I took the info systems course and finished it in less than 3 days.
