Hello,
I have a friend who is hoping to earn his BA General management degree from TESC ... and since he's already enrolled there, he needs to finish within 1 year. Finances are also an issue, and at this point financial aid wouldn't help at all. The section that's making my life difficult is the 18 credits in area of study (upper level).
Test (where it's from) - credit #
Marketing with Digital and Social Media (TESC course for GPA) - 3
Public Relations (TECEP) - 3
Human Resource Management (DSST) - 3
Organizational Behavior (DSST) - 3
Management Information Systems (DSST) - 3
Money and Banking (DSST) - 3
Ok, so here's where things get complicated. I'd like to find something that replaces Money and Banking, because it's a subject he has a hard time with. A different CLEP or DSST would be great, but, we'd prefer to avoid TECEP's if possible. My goal would be to find something like ALEKS.com ... or some other kind of in-expensive self-paced online course.
Anyone have any brilliant ideas?
Thanks!

Public Relations will work - I've done it before :-).
How does Penn Foster work? How would you sign someone up to just take a few courses through them? What would it cost? I searched on their website, but couldn't seem to find the right info.

Were you ever a business major? I see your degree is in communication.
If you scroll down to the bottom of the page, you will see a list of individual courses. Those can be easily purchased online.

No - I did indeed major in communications - now I work at a school that specializes in helping others earn their degrees like we did (testing out of classes, online classes, etc). Basically, the school I'm at offers classes (and class videos) for many of the tests, have a library full of books for the tests, and have a program advisor (that's my job) to do the leg work for the students, so all they need to do is study.
Wow, Penn Foster does offer a lot of courses, that's definitely a great option to keep in mind ... I was hoping to find something closer to the CLEP/DSST price range, though.
