I understand that a lot of people are discussing about Excelsior, Charter Oak, and Thomas Edison, and these good schools deserved to be discussed. However, I always wanted to know if there are any other Online Degree Completion Programs, that as Liberal in Credit acceptance, and as affordable as the Big 3. Just wanted to see, if anyone would care to comment on the matter.
Thanks:coolgleam:
There are a lot of schools that accept 75% transfer (though many further limit how many of those can be in alternative credit form, such as CLEP and DSST). Take a look at your region's accreditation board list of approved institutions, and delve into each school's website. If looking for alternatives beyond the Big 3 favored here, your best bet is often to look local to reap the benefit of in-state tuition rates, or partner tuition rates with neighboring states. For instance, I live in Alabama, but many Florida schools offer me in-state tuition rates. The same applies to some of the NE states.
There are a lot of options beyond the three we discuss most often on this forum. Perhaps we can help if you detail your existing credit mix (i.e., 66 credits from a community college, 12 credits in CLEP, etc. etc.) as well as the state you live, and your tentative completion plan for the remainder of your credits. I'm sure more schools are out there that might suit you. Make sure you look for regional accreditation, though. There are at least a few hundred NA schools, but for undergrad, I'd suggest focusing on RA accreditation so you do not limit yourself when it comes to later career or graduate choices.
