One semester...
#1
Hi everybody!

I just wanted to say that I have officially completed one sememster of college! Though it actually took me longer than one semester to do, I saved TREMENDOUSLY in time spent studying or in classes, and had more time to do other things that interest me. It also isn't much and I still have many more to go, but, most kids like me that are still in High School don't have more than just a couple credits (if any).

This path to earning a Bachelors degree is in my opinion SO much better than the traditional way. Even if it still takes me 4 years, during that 4 years I will have much more time to do other things I am interested in, and doing it all from home!

BTW, I love this forum and the IC flashcards! I was having some trouble studying from huge text books and trying to figure out what was actually going to be on the test. Now, I won't have that problem any more, and I think it will help to speed up the process!

Great JOb!
I totally agree. I started taking clep and dantes tests the summer before my senior year of highschool. I graduated from HS in 2006, and will be graduating from college in 2007 with a BA in Social Science and History. Smile
It's a great alternative to traditional education.

Don't be afraid to take exams more quickly! You'll be surprised how fast the ball will roll once it gets going. Try to take at least 3 or 4 exams per month. If I can do it.....anyone can!

The sound of taking 3 or 4 tests a month sounds great! Putting into actual motion, not so easy I think. I am barely studying as it is now because I work full-time (40 hours/week), still play piano and violin, getting a couple new hives of bees, and numerous other activities. I am definitely going to be trying to speed up the process somehow...

I'm going for Western Civilization I next here so any tips on getting ready for this test would be greatly appreciated! I guess any study tips for taking tests faster would be nice too!

The important thing is that you're making progress. Marketing and Management were good exams to start with, but you may find Western Civ a bit more difficult, so make sure you read up on the forum and do whatever it takes to get adequately prepared. Smile
