Hello all,
I just got my degree audit for a BA in Accounting and I had twelve classes left, one of which I have completed (Cost accounting) in the last couple of days. This leaves me with;
Not Satisfied: Complete Bus 200 Intermediate Business Computing
Not Satisfied: Complete HUM 103 Creative Decision Making or ENG 211 Creative Writing (or equivalent to meet GEC Critical & Creative Thinking Learning Objective D, GECGLO 2D)
Not Satisfied: Complete BUS 242 Spreadsheet Applications
Not Satisfied: Complete BUS 352: Business Law II
Not Satisfied: Complete BUS 376: Independent Auditing
Not Satisfied: Complete BUS 377: Federal Taxation I
Not Satisfied: Complete BUS 378: Federal Taxation II
Not Satisfied: Complete BUS 440 - Business Analytics
Not Satisfied: Complete BUS 466 - Governmental & Not-for-Profit Accounting
Not Satisfied: Complete BUS 489 - Business Policy & Strategy
Not Satisfied: Complete BUS 469 Strategic Professional Communication
That's 11 classes to complete, but I would like to get it down to 10 since I have until late January before I start. I am wondering if anyone here knows of any of these credits that UMPI accepts from other organizations for transfer in? I was initially looking for something to take out that HUM 103 course, but I think that would be an easy one and I'm open to anything.
I've been popping in here and there for about eight months or so now and I started with a very distant vision of getting a degree. Now that it's getting within spitting distance I just wanted to comment on how everyone here has been so helpful.
I thank you all.

The only thing I know of that works for these:
SDC's Humanities 201: Critical Thinking & Analysis >> HUM 103 - but it has 3 assignments/essays - I'm guessing the UMPI course will be much easier/faster
Federal Taxation I - TECEP (only if you're already very familiar with doing taxes)
You could also do one of the Univ of Northern Alabama Accounting Career Completion Program courses, but at $545/course, I don't think it's probably worth it. They have Taxation I & II, and Financial Statement Auditing I & II.
TESU BSBA/HR 2018 - WVNCC BOG AAS 2017 - GGU Cert in Mgmt 2000
EXAMS: TECEP Tech Wrtg, Comp II, LA Math, PR, Computers DSST Computers, Pers Fin CLEP Mgmt, Mktg
COURSES: TESU Capstone Study.com Pers Fin, Microecon, Stats Ed4Credit Acct 2 PF Fin Mgmt ALEKS Int & Coll Alg Sophia Proj Mgmt The Institutes - Ins Ethics Kaplan PLA

Thanks for those recommendations. The Federal Taxation is a no-go as I don't have a clue about American taxes yet...darn Canadian here.
Thanks for the Humanities 201 I somehow totally missed it on a transfer search. I may give it a go as I have a lot of time ahead and I'm interested in clearing it down to 10 if possible.

I would see if UMPI accepts a TECEP before taking one.
The humanities class at UMPI is only 1 paper. So that might be something to consider.

I would see if they take the Sophia.org Intro to IT for the first requirement:
If they don't take Sophia, see if Study.com/StraighterLine offers one
Not Satisfied: Complete Bus 200 Intermediate Business Computing
But if it's an easy course, just take it instead of paying an extra fee for it elsewhere

Sophia's Intro to IT does not transfer in for BUS200. It is a very easy course at UMPI.

Intro to IT was on my transcript and not accepted. I may however do the Bus 200 just to brush up in preparation for the course at UMPI. Thanks for the suggestions.

Was it not accepted at all for credit, or just not for that specific transfer credit? (Working through Sophia with my son in hopes of him transferring into the BABA Management and don't want to waste time on a class that won't transfer in.)

If it is accepted, it's a general elective. It doesn't fill any of the GEC or degree requirements. I can't remember if ashkir took it or not. If you find his thread on here you'll see every course he completed to transfer to UMPI. He did it with all ACE credit.

Yeah, that's what happened, it comes in as an elective. Anyways, it's great to just take the course at UMPI...
