On that same note, how about the AP Studio Art?
#1
I'm sure I'll just get a flood of replies for this, but has anyone done the AP Studio Art 'test'? It consists of a portfolio of the student's art work. I'm considering doing it although, after viewing samples online, I don't think I could possibly get over a 3, unless I start thinking outside of the box. Wink

A friend of mine who is a local college instructor over sees the AP Studio art for a local high school. These AP kids work on their portfolios for approx 2 school years before it is judged. I am not sure what school you are considering but I think with all the time invested it would be easier getting some 2-d design, 3-d design. drawing, painting, photography, and ceramics classes done at a local CC. Those portfolios are alot of work. Any portfolio is alot of work. If you are going for a degree in art or studio art you will need alot more credits then the AP will allow. My advise would be get some of those classes going for the fall and just do you best to test out on the rest. But a degree in studio art or art there really is not alot of short cuts with in the concentration.
