note taking and IC

do you take notes while going through the flash cards? I am studying for the principles of supervision. Do I really have to take notes for this exam

I have yet to take notes while using IC, but I would not hesitate if I felt I needed to. Before I discovered IC, I took notes from book study but that's just because the act of writing down a concept helped it stick, not because I wanted to review my notes later. The fill-in-the-blank set up of IC sort of takes the place of note-taking for me.

i just need to get used to the flashcards, I really don't know any of the answers so I just read them and try to make sense of the question. I hope it works.

Yes, reading the questions AND the answers is the point... You are not necessarily expected to know the answers at first. Yes, the method takes some getting used to, but it works

It helps me to take notes but I try not to spend too much time writing EVERYTHING down. Flashcards work great! I like to go through IC until I know everything, then go through the specific feedback section and study whats in there through Wikipedia. Good luck!!!!!
