Not sure if I can re-post, but need guidance for my cousin.

I'm trying to help someone to obtain their degree faster and less expensive. He has taken many courses. He wants a business degree, needs for the job he is working in now. I see that he might be super close to being able to get his Criminal Justice degree too.

Can someone give guidance on which courses are needed for a business degree and a criminal justice degree at TESC or COSC. He is a Connecticut resident for COSC (If that matters) I also need to know which classes he can take that are upper level that are inexpensive. ( see post below for updated list for classes & credits taken)

Here are the courses he has taken and received credits for already:

I didn't see all the credits listed on his sheet. It looks like PhoenixU lumped some as 33 credits under general

You could have just bumped the original thread. All of the community college courses are going to be lower level at TESC and COSC. COSC will usually keep the level of the course at the original school. Transfer credits from 4-year schools can be upgraded or downgraded at TESC depending on how they code a similar course in-house. Most of the time, the courses are upgraded to upper level or kept at the same level.

The cheapest ways to get criminal justice credits aside from attending a community college are through Penn Foster and Propero. COSC will mostly follow the ACE recommendations when it comes to whether a course is upper level or lower level. TESC, again, will match a course to something they offer or is in their PLA database. I have a rough plan for a criminal justice degree at TESC. The equivalencies for Propero and Penn Foster courses are mostly educated guesses. My plan for TESC's BSBA should be pretty accurate.

Since he is a Connecticut resident, he will pay $263 per credit hour at COSC. That's not too bad. You would have to check the wiki for COSC business and criminal justice plans. Also, look at the concentration pages on their website, the master exam list, and the ACE National Guide for how Penn Foster and Propero courses are evaluated.
