Well, on friday morning I applied for graduation thinking I was done. I was excited that the registrar's office felt I might even make the deadline for graduation by late November. By friday afternoon is made clear that I was not done, I was in fact short 2.7UL credits...Hahahaha
A little background...Just after the summer semester my capstone was applied to my transcripts, but the concentration and total hours looked one class short. I notified my advisor about this and was assured that I had completed the work but the capstone was not registered properly...Advisor said it should be fixed automatically and there was no need for concern. Turns out it wasn't applied because the wrong Capstone was authorized (by my advisor) and 2 transfer classes that show a 300 level were applied at the 200 level. UGGGGGHHHHHH
They readily agreed to let the Capstone I took satisfy the Capstone requirement, but informed me I remained 2.7 hours short of UL credit.
I sent a note to my advisor asking if the Civil War DSST would work, she still hasn't gotten back to me. Time being of the essence and my understanding that I just need any 3 hours at the upper level I went ahead and took the Civil War DSST a few hours ago. I scored a 66 with just a few hours Saturday and Sunday to prepare.
I hope this works out!
Just a note to vent a little and reming everyone to stay on top of the issues. ANd that you can never really trust anyone....even your advisor. (we knew this already, and honestly some of the blame is mine...but still!)
Anyway....I think, once again, that I am done! LOL

I'm always happy to complete the free application waiver for those applying to WGU (I get a free gift from WGU for this). Just PM me your first/last name and a valid email so I can complete their form.

Good, clean up! And good advice!
This is why I wait until my file is audited and cleared for graduation before formal announcement.

Your absolutely right, I knew better!

I hope I worked it out...to be honest it was fun to tackle the Civil War with a tight timeline. My original plan was to major in "American Studies" and I had my eye on that particular DSST since last year, just had no way to use it....till now.....I hope

LOL.....The Governor of Ct. is involved now! Due to snow roads are closed, power is out, and schools are closed. Nobody wants rebel to graduate!
On a serious note, I wish all those good folks caught in this unusually early storm all the best...stay warm!

Good work Rebel. I am glad it will all work out.
I am one of the unfortunate people that got hit by that snow storm. I just got electricity back at 5:30 this morning. It was 20 degrees outside last evening which made the inside of my house a balmy 42 degrees. I am getting a generator. I have already ask Santa for one for Xmas.

Still trying to recover from the cold. I am greatful for the tireless PSNH utility linemen and Hydro Canada workers that have come down to bail us out.
CT is still having alot of trouble. Be patient. I heard possible Friday before they are all up and running.

Great job on the Civil War DSST! Awesome score!
You did the right thing by quickly adapting and taking that test.
I never fully trust advisors. Only the registrar's office can tell you what class fits in what slot at any school.

OMG Rebel... I can't believe that!!! I am totally nervous for you. Remember that if you need to, you can call DSST and have them rush the transcript for I think 20 bucks. Not sure if it would help, but you never know.
Keep us posted and hang in there
