Non Western History course on study.com
#1
I searched on the forum and often for non western history I see DSST History of Soviet Union but with test centers still closed, which course on study.com fulfills this category? Thanks
Does it need to be UL or LL?

For TESU, SDC has History 108: History of the Vietnam War (HIS-246 Intro to Vietnam War) and History 308: Causes and Effects of the Vietnam War (HIS-351 A History of Vietnam War).

Thanks.

Only HIS-351 is UL but that helps.

Wasn't sure it was considered non western as the Vietnam War has always been considered part of US History.

I saw only 3 UL courses on study.com and for the AOS I will need 5. This was on the TESU/SDC equivalency list.

I am planning American Civil War Era. UL HIS-450
Historical Methods. UL HIS-379 and Holocaust UL HIS-354.

Neither of these count as Non-Western History at TESU.

Not sure about HISx340: World Conflicts Since 1900 UExcel exam, you might check.

U of Idaho IS has Hist 180: Introduction to East Asian History for $190/cr (LL unfortunately)

BYU-IS has several UL, for $597/course:
HIST330: Tsarist Russia
HIST331: Soviet Union & Post-Soviet Russia
HIST344: Modern Japan

Your local CC may have a course or two, if prices are good.

I checked with academic advisor and it doesn't have to be UL but yes, Vietnam War course at SDC does not qualify as non western.

Thank you so much. I will definitely look into them as it doesn't have to be upper level.
