So it's 42 weeks over a full year - there's a week off in between most sessions, with an additional week for a few sessions (2 weeks of for Christmas, a week of for Thanksgiving, 2 weeks off for spring break, etc.).  Makes sense.  I feel like it's a very fair pricing, and gives most people the time off they would want if going year-round.

You end up paying $142/week, and $6,000 for a full year.  If you went a full year at UMPI, you'd end up paying $8,400.  It really depends on how many credits you're bringing in, though, and I have a feeling most people going to UMPI don't need to pay for a full year with all of the ACE credit they can bring in.

If anyone on here spent a year at UMPI then they did not listen to anyone on here and prepare themselves. It sounds like Nichols you're charged $6K no matter how long it takes you. So even if you don't need the full 6 terms then you're stuck paying for them.

Since Nichols doesn't allow for as much ACE credit, you're going to either need to bring in more credits from elsewhere or take more credits there.

Which is why I think for people on this forum, I'll still be recommending UMPI over Nichols.  It's just not going to be cost-effective and/or time-effective to pay for a full year at Nichols when you can go much more quickly through UMPI and ultimately pay less (you'll pay more per week, but less overall).

They offer the ability to be a non-matriculated student for a separate fee. You might be able to get your classes finished for less than the $6k.

[i]Is it possible to enroll in courses as a non-matriculated student? (not formally accepted into the CBE degree program yet) Yes. There will be a different tuition rate for non-matriculated students. Please contact Amanda White for more information.
