BSIT Brandman University
#1
Hi forum I get a call from Brandman regarding the competency course they said their is no limit of how many credits can be transferred you pay a flat fee but if you fail an exam you have to pay 100$ fee for a second attempt they said that study.com does not have enough courses comparison that can full fill all UL course required.

I attach the study plan if some other user need information regarding this degree required.

Thanks, I'm looking at other options for a possible BS and this might be useful. Especially being able to transfer a bunch in.

Keep in mind they still have a 30 credit residency requirement.

Brandman is probably one of the better competency based degree providers as they allow unlimited course transfers up to 75% of the degree program, you can pick the courses you want to transfer and the others are the courses you need to complete through them. So, for instance, their Business or IT program, you can choose/pick what you want to complete beforehand by transferring them in, and pick the courses you want to either finish asap or learn more by taking the course through them...

I talked to someone from there and they said that you need at least the equivalent of a B- to use ACE credits. So you'd have to have at least an 81.5% on your ACE transcripts to be able to add a course to their My Path program. I'm not sure how accurate this is but it could be a problem for those just skating by on ACE courses. They said that this isn't a requirement for any of their other programs though.
