Newbie's TESC Psych BA Plan
#11
sayboom Wrote:Okay so after this thread getting bumped I took a break from biology homework to revise my degree plan for the more broad social science concentration. If anybody wants to take a peek I'd appreciate it! Feel free to ignore my general electives in blue I just put ones that sounded interesting to me as I went through the course list.

ps: Thanks to burbuja0512 I believe it was who I stole the spreadsheet layout from. Wink

I gave your plan a quick look and below are my recommendations. I list the course codes to make it easy to plan out area of study. The Social Science & History CLEP can also be used to fill in you gen ed section. The courses/exams I highlighted in green I took and enjoyed them. I've also included and highlighted PSY379 because I've been told by everyone that has taken the social psychology 6 credit course it was a good choice and excellent with Dr Vale. Really consider taking the 6 credit courses. They are the same amount of work (sometimes less) as a 3 credit course.

I pulled your Child Growth & Developement out of free electives because it will more than likely transfer in as Introduction to Educational Psychology or Human Growth & Development. I would hold off on those CLEPs until you get your evaluation so there is no chance of duplication.

Good luck! This is actually going to be very fast, even with the TESC course work.

Area of Study / Gen Ed

PSY-211 or PSY-230……..Child Growth & Development (B&M) - DONE

Oh thank you! I had no idea they even had 6 credit hour classes. That definitely changes my plan. Thanks for the heads up about my child development class too!
