From the link, it seems they've got other degrees as well that will accept some graduate courses into their Masters. It's a good deal to be able to get 3 courses or more out of the way, depending on the degree of choice. The main thing is, 'where' are you going to get the credits to transfer? ACE? RA? Foreign credits? Would these cost more and take longer to complete than doing them at WGU instead?

For the degree program I'm in, it lists out what courses are accepted and from where. Like in the MSITM, the Project Management course appears to only be able to be transferred in if you pass a PMI exam. That's all that they have listed and there's a note at the top of the page about the exams. Those listed are the only acceptable. They aren't taking RA transfer credit for the 2 courses in the MSITM from the way the note is worded which is odd, but hey that's WGU.

For these three courses, that's a very relevant question to ask. None of those three are complex or time consuming.

Honestly those are supposedly some of the easiest courses in the whole program from what Ive heard. I think if you happened to already have that credit (like say you started an MBA somewhere else) then fine. But otherwise seems silly just take them at WGU. Plently of people have done an MBA or MSML from WGU in 1 or 2 terms. So I dont think these courses would cut off much and then you'd have to wait on transcripts approval too.

That's the thing, you want to make sure and decide which way would be better for you by comparing the them... Basically what I mentioned in my earlier post... Would these cost more and take longer to complete than doing them at WGU instead?

Where would one do the equivalents of C200 and C206, both graduate courses, in an inexpensive way? Sophia doesn't offer graduate level courses. What about others?

No one knows, that's the main discussion in this thread... It may be easier just doing the 3 at WGU, and then going for the second degree from them... for example, do the MSML and then transfer these three from the MSML to the MBA. Voila!

There just isn't such a thing as ACE graduate credit. The closest thing are some of the EdX programs, where you get to start for reduced tuition, then apply those credits to Master's program. But a lot of those programs aren't cheap, and the credits you earn only count at that specific school and that specific program, you can't pick up the cheap credits, then shop around for programs to transfer them into.
NanoDegree: Intro to Self-Driving Cars (2019)
Coursera: Stanford Machine Learning (2019)
TESU: BA in Comp Sci (2016)
TECEP:Env Ethics (2015); TESU PLA:Software Eng, Computer Arch, C++, Advanced C++, Data Struct (2015); TESU Courses:Capstone, Database Mngmnt Sys, Op Sys, Artificial Intel, Discrete Math, Intro to Portfolio Dev, Intro PLA (2014-16); DSST:Anthro, Pers Fin, Astronomy (2014); CLEP:Intro to Soc (2014); Saylor.org:Intro to Computers (2014); CC: 69 units (1980-88)

Doesn't have to be ACE credit - for example, Sophia touts not just ACE but DEAC acceptance. But indeed, even though Saylor and one other S appear to have graduate level courses, but not something that would be acceptable to WGU. Their partner website doesn't show a single graduate course acceptance from EdX, Sophia, Saylor, and other S' for Business or CS departments.

With that said, most MBA's accept 6 to 9 credits (2-3 classes) from other AACSB accredited colleges (and probably would accept IACBE and ACBSP in some cases, too). But the problem is where to take them for a reasonable cost (considering they are pre-recorded, costs of over $1,000 per class is unreasonable in my opinion, since all of that knowledge is available for free on YouTube and elsewhere -- you are just paying for it to count as "credit" and be on a transcript of an accredited school).

It does look like doing them at WGU is basically the cheapest option, but it does jeopardize the ability to finish the degree in one semester (and doing an MBA at WGU in 2 semesters or longer is essentially not worth it since there are other online MBA programs that are AACSB accredited in the $10,000 range and are thus actually ranked for academics by US News and others. (the rankings "1st most affordable degree" is not helpful beyond the pocketbook of the student).

What would you suggest as alternatives to WGU's MBA that would be online, GMAT waiver, AACSB accredited, and hopefully with availability of such concentrations as Health Care Management, IT, Supply Chain, that cost around $10k?
