Hey people,

I'm new to Instant Cert but not new to CLEP's and their potential to save me from a lot of expensive and undesirable class time.
Question: I'm studying for my Social Sciences and History CLEP exam this Friday and was trying to use Instant Cert to brush up on psych. Thing is, it isn't multiple choice and I have no idea what goes in the blank. What do ya'll do? Just go through the whole thing and study the answers and then come back and try to fill in the blanks? I appreciate any tips or testing wisdom that can be imparted to my feeble mind.
Thanks a ton!
JD

I am by no means the resident expert but I have passed 13 tests now. What I do is click on the question and then the answer right away so I am reading it without thinking. I usually do this the first two times through the cards. Then the next time, I try to see if I know the answer before I click on it. The last run through before the test, I go back to clicking right away so that the only thing in my mind is the right answer. There are many methods, probably more successful than mine, but that has worked for me.

good luck,

Doug

I agree with dc67. Just go through them a few times and it'll start to sink in naturally. One thing that helps me is typing the answer in the blank after I see it and before moving on to the next question. Just helps me memorize it a little faster.

It may seem a little weird at first, but it will work. I've used IC for almost every exam so far. Sometimes when I'm feeling totally lost on a flashcard, my brain will recall the information out of nowhere. It does work Smile

Thanks! I'll try that. Sounds kinda' like what I've been doing with the books.
