I was looking through the forums but could not find any study guides for Clep English Compostion Modular. Any help is appreciated. Let me know if you took the exam, how did you study for it? Thank you. Smile

I might be wrong but I believe English Composition CLEP is more accepted than the modular.

Modular often gives 3 credits while College Composition (General) gives 6, but of course you should check directly with your school. TESC gives 3 for Modular and 6 for General, while COSC offers 6 for College Comp and doesn't even list Modular on their guide. Excelsior only gives comp credit for actual classes or their own ECE/UExcel exams, not for the CLEP. Athabasca also requires an actual class or their own challenge exam, but only requires 3 hours. At other schools, YMMV.

Mmm. I called Excelsior a few weeks back and asked if they took CLEP for English Composition and the representative said they do. But I probably should have called a few different people.

COSC won't accept modular, I had to retake it.
Don't miss out on something great just because it might also be difficult.

Excelsior lists the old CLEP English Composition for 6 hours in the degree plans in their credit by exam booklet, but they do not list the new College Composition as an acceptable exam. Make sure you get it in writing, Drakemoore.
