First of all TESC, Excelsior and Charter Oaks are "Real Colleges" they are just what are called on-line or non-Brick & Mortar(B&M) colleges. They are Regionally accredited just like U Conn or U Mass, they are better accredited then some B & M colleges.

Now if you want to get a degree through CLEP/DSST/TECEP & ECE exams your best bet is one of the Big 3 I mentioned above. If you want to be able to brag about some big State University(while you pay off student loans the rest of your life) then you will only be able to earn an average 30-45 credits through testing.

By the way TESC and Charter Oaks are part of their state college systems, I am not sure about Excelsior.

I hope I was gentle enough, but many of us who have worked very hard for our degree don't like having our colleges thought of as not an "actual College"

I am sorry I apologize. I know a lot of companies that see online colleges like university of phoenix and do not consider them real college's and throw out the resumes. I assume by what you said the colleges you mention above are not like the University of phoenix. Am i correct in assuming that . Thanks again.
