Welcome to the forum. Testing out of a business degree is very doable.

To gauge your readiness for DSST tests, scan the fact sheets found here for sample questions and exam content DSST - GetCollegeCredit.com

For CLEP, order the current Official CLEP Guide that contains all 30+ exams. Costs around $25 bucks. Sample exams and exam content are included. You can gauge your readiness by taking practice exams.

Good luck!!!

Typically for CLEP a passing score is a 50, but check with your school to see if they require a higher score to obtain credit. The Dantes depends on the specific exam. The scores and information for the CLEP exams are at collegeboard.com and the Dantes are at getcollegecredit.com

I would recommend taking CLEP Principles of Mangement along with DSST Principles of Supervision. These tests are very similar in content. You can study for 1 and take both. They are by far the easiest tests that I have taken. Along the same lines would be DSST Org Behavior and DSST Human Resource Management. These tests touch on the same concepts and theories of the Management and Supervision Exams.

I have heard Intro to Business is not too difficult. I took the class at a B&M school and found it easy.

Other tests I would recommend are CLEP Sociology and if you are at all familar with Computers, The CLEP Information Systems and Computer Applications is a good exam.

As aways, the IC flash Cards are an excellent resource to use when studying for these tests.

Good Luck!

Welcome!
First things first- you can take CLEPs without being enrolled anywhere, but if you are thinking of earning a degree, you need to find out which exams your college accepts.

All of the exams are doable- you just need to line up good study resources. Keep in mind, these exams are testing 100 level college work in many cases, so they are targeted toward an 18 year old with no business experience. You'll likely have an excellent base on which to build. If your college accepts x credits, then that's what you should shoot for- testing is fast, easy, legitimate, and an excellent plan for an adult returning to college- especially one with a good working knowledge of the subject!!!

Passing scores on CLEPs are ACE evaluated to be a score of 50 (out of a scale of 20-80) but your college can make it any number they want- lower or higher.

Welcome to the forum!

There is a wealth of knowledge here and probably someone who can answer any question you have or if not, at least maybe direct you to the place to find the answer.

As far as the scores, each school sets their policy on accepted scored. Some take the recommended and some may want a little higher than that.

It's best to search the school of your choice. Go to the search area and type in CLEP or DSST if those are the exams you are interested in.

You will probably find yourself interested in other ways of learning credit as you scout through the forum. If so, go to the school of your choice and search "earned credit" or "nontraditional Credit".

Pls. note, not all schools accept all of the exams. Always, always search their site to confirm. If you cannot find the answers, you can always call them and ask their evaluations department.

Good Luck!
