Argh! Not History! Ah wells, good for them for getting newer classes so quickly! For some reason, History is not my strong spot... I've taken history courses before and find a few interesting, but probably my lowest grades were in History classes.

This is another Strayer one. It might be already live at strayer.sophia.org and replaces US History I. It transfers in to Strayer as HIS 110 and fulfills their US History GenEd requirement. The previous US History I course came in as HIS 104 elective.

Based on the description, it looks like it covers the last 100 years in the US. Kind of interesting to say that 2020 is history already. Seems like it was just yesterday.

This covers the 1930's to present day, so I'm not sure how it is US History I?

Maybe it replaces US History 1 at Strayer? The parent company of Sophia also owns Capella and Strayer and that's where the Sophia courses come from it seems like. It definitely wouldn't replace US History 1 at other schools.

Wouldn't that be closer to US History II rather than I? But 1930s on doesn't seem to match any Strayer course: https://strayer.smartcatalogiq.com/en/20...IS-History

Matches Capella, though:
Quote:HIS1100 U.S. History: Learn from the Past, Prepare for the Future (4 quarter credits)

In this course, learners investigate key events in U.S. history and make connections to their influence and impact on society today. Learners analyze how knowledge of the past helps to understand the world today and make more informed decisions about the future. In addition, learners critically analyze information and decide what is credible and accurate to draw their own conclusions.
