I checked my eval yesterday, and it had the old info on it. Today, I checked it and it said the following:
You are enrolled at Thomas Edison State University in the Per Credit Tuition Plan. As a student in this plan, you have a sixteen (16)credit residency requirement. This means you must earn at least sixteen (16) semester hours of Thomas Edison State UniversityOnline, Guided Study or e-Pack credit in order to graduate. For students enrolled in the Per Credit Tuition Plan at Thomas Edison State University PRIOR to April 1, 2016, credit earned viaTECEP and Prior Learning Assessment can be used to satisfy the residency requirement as long as it is earned as of or before theMay 2016 term. For students who enroll in the Per Credit Tuition Plan as of April 1, 2016 or after, only Online, Guided Study ore-Pack credit satisfies the residency requirement.
At least it looks like they have come up with a comprehensive plan that will be applied to everyone.
Now, the question is, what to do about people who enrolled under the 2013/14, 2014/15 and 2015/16 catalogs which state that TECEP's will count as residency. Even though this now won't affect me (I'm at 15cr, and have 3 TECEP's scheduled for May, which means I only need to pass 1 of them to get residency), I still am willing to fight this and try to make them stick to the catalog.
Continue to PM me if you're interested.

For anyone who is going to be short 1 credit you could sign up for the medical terminology TECEP, it is a quick and easy multiple choice test at 1/3 the cost of the rest.

Do you think it would be easy for a student who isn't familiar with the medical field?

OK...so....what if:
I am scheduled for my first TECEP on April 20.
WHAT IF I go NOW and pay for 6 more TECEPS ---so that I'm enrolled in the May term --and take all of those exams by July.
then take my capstone.
Would I be "OK" and not have to pay the $2000 waiver?

It is looking that way. BUT you'll need to get special permission to take more than 5 TECEPs per term.

Now, this no longer affects me if I pass all of my tests because I just need to sign up for one more TECEP. But, I feel sorry for those who have to sign up for several TECEPs in one term. If you need more than 15 credits worth of TECEPs, as Mamasaphire said, you'll have to ask for permission. I need to take Strategic Management since TESU will probably stop accepting it from other schools. Just in case I fail that, I'm going to register for a backup TECEP.

I currently have 36 credits left for my BSBA in marketing through TESU. I was accepted last summer and recently enrolled for 2 TECEPS in the April term. Will I be grandfathered in with the 24 credits through TECEP route? What are your opinions on this? I emailed TESU with a few questions. I will post what their reply is when I get it later on this week.

Everyone now has a 16 credit residency requirement now. TECEPs already passed or will be passed in the April and May terms will count toward the residency requirement. After that, TECEPs will no longer count.

Wow, I am a bit perturbed by this news.
I'm 10 credits shy of the 16 hour credit requirement. I like how they elected to not make it a multiple of 3, AND to change it on people that were already enrolled - what a racket.

I'm guessing their logic is fifteen credits plus the new one hour cornerstone course coming in May. Still it is a little frustrating.
