WGU has never been known to be generous with accepting graduate transfer credits. They didn't accept any graduate transfer credits until a few years ago. The MSCIA accepts the most transfer credits.

Outside of IT, they accept VERY few grad credits and even that's only a recent thing. I wouldn't expect any grad transfer credit honestly.

Wow, did I read that correctly, the MPH has so many classes that can be transferred, there's just one class that says non transferable and that's the capstone course!

It is surprising how generous WGU is being here. One imagines they considered how many nurses and all manner of other health professionals, if they completed graduate degrees, have taken courses there that overlap MPH courses.

While, they say that you can transfer in these courses, it's not that simple. They're super picky on transfer credit. I can't imagine them allowing students to transfer in all course except the capstone. It will be interesting to see wha they actually do accept for transfer credit! As in people who apply and receive transfer credit not just reading this list.

As a brand new program, it will not be CEPH accredited. CEPH notes in its Accreditation Procedures that "The time from the beginning of the applicant period to an accreditation decision will vary but typically takes approximately three years." I have also watched at least one impressive MPH program take years longer than I would have expected to attain CEPH accreditation.

Full disclosure, I'm not taking this program so feel free to glance over this and ignore. However, your comment stuck in my head yesterday and I haven't been able to shake it. 

Is this statement taken to mean that those taking this course will not receive CEPH accreditation at all in the first three years, or that it will be retroactive with CEPH assuming they get the accreditation (taking the risk of taking the degree without CEPH)? I assume it's the latter, but either way seems wild to me. What would happen if the course didn't get CEPH accreditation without program changes?

Any idea what the practicum is for this?

I briefly spoke with my enrollment advisor about this. She stated that there's not a practicum, just a capstone.
