good day folks,
breakdown as follows:
Your Location: Melbourne, Australia
Your Age: 43
What kind of degree do you want?: Bachelor Degree
Current Regional Accredited Credits: not sure
School Name Total Credits: # to be decided
Class Name, Credits, Grade to be decided
Current ACE, CLEP, or NCCRS Credits:
Budget: I don't have much in terms of budget, but could afford about AUD100 - 150 per month
Commitments: Honestly, just kids/spouse . I currently work full time and can work on my studies part time or in the evenings/weekends.
Dedicated time to study: I can study as much as is needed during the night or weekends as long as my schedule is free. I estimate at least 3 hours every week night and on the weekends, maybe 6 hours, total would be roughly 15+12=27 hours or slightly more.
Timeline: Finishing the courses required for the degree as fast as possible would be ideal. I would like to finish within 1-1.5 years (12-18 months)
Tuition assistance/reimbursement: Yes, my workplace partners with Percipio. I could gain access to LinkedIn learning too.
I don't have undergrad bachelor degree but I have an MBA General. the MBA took me about 3 years of part time study and a dissertation at the end.
I am currently studying a Certificate in CyberSecurity but would like to round out my qualifications with a bachelors.
I am so confused by all the acronymns while reading forum posts and not sure which way to go.
I would like to do something quick and easy in the computer science / IT field (as its a natural path of my current career - currently a Data Engineer working in AWS). but labs would be a problem as I am in Australia so all modules would have to be 100% online.
certs:
ITIL v3 Service Management
Six Sigma Yellow Belt
I need the brains trust to help me select a path. I was hoping something in cloud computing, but read that it is expensive.
if I get a nudge in the right direction, then I can do more research and get the spreadsheet going.
I am just unsure of which way to go and which platforms to used ie study.com etc etc (I have read through the wiki)

I think I've settled on Bsba CIS from Tesu.
I'll probably get a worksheet together and start filling that in and share it here

You're going to want to get your transcripts evaluated. Any undergrad or graduate credit you have should be useful.
NanoDegree: Intro to Self-Driving Cars (2019)
Coursera: Stanford Machine Learning (2019)
TESU: BA in Comp Sci (2016)
TECEP:Env Ethics (2015); TESU PLA:Software Eng, Computer Arch, C++, Advanced C++, Data Struct (2015); TESU Courses:Capstone, Database Mngmnt Sys, Op Sys, Artificial Intel, Discrete Math, Intro to Portfolio Dev, Intro PLA (2014-16); DSST:Anthro, Pers Fin, Astronomy (2014); CLEP:Intro to Soc (2014); Saylor.org:Intro to Computers (2014); CC: 69 units (1980-88)

@qbbq, Welcome to the board, that's a good choice for the Bachelors! Yes, I agree that you need to get the transcripts evaluated as you will get college credit for that MBA degree. You've filled in the addendum and template, with the info provided, you have 'some' of the business core completed if they transfer in, but you're missing the general education and electives. You might also want to take a look at the UMPI BABA Project Management & Info Systems as well...

Thanks for the replies guys. I have reached out to TESU adminissions. Let's see what they say. I have started a spreadsheet which I will link here once done. I am following the double degree option that I have found on the wiki. Just wanted to know of I do all the modules from top to bottom on that wiki page and leave out the ones that are optional.
For what its worth, in my career a BS and anything with computers is held in higher stead instead of a BA. So I have to go with something that says BS xxx

Well don't study Computer Science at Harvard then, 'cause you'll get a BA.
There's no real difference between a BS and a BA, especially when comparing different schools.

Basically... If you have enough budget, energy, time, you can do the BS CIS and the BACS double degree option on the WIKI, again, mix and match the classes you can with the two templates available, you can decide which one would be cheaper, easier, faster to complete...

@davewill thank you, I hear you, I will check out the BACS (sounds more appealing in any event). The sad truth in Australia is that companies don't see the BA and BS the same. on most jobs they just state BS computer Science and that is it - so for me its just a box ticking exercise.
@bjcheung77 thanks for the info. I am short on time AND money. I am looking for the easiest, shortest and cheapest option to be honest.
@davewill and @bjcheung77 would you suggest BACS at TESU ?

I'm not usually big on the dual degree, but in your case, I think it could be ideal. You've already got some business credits from the MBA, so it should be fairly easy, and shouldn't cost you much. Do you have any undergraduate credits? I know you don't have a bachelor's degree, but I thought you might at least have some credits built up.
