Hey everyone, Im trying to wrap op my BS in Liberal Studies at Excelsior. Im taking my capstone right now and I am working hard to get it finished but I need another english writing course. I took english compostition at Indiana University but I need one more class. Im active duty Navy and because of an upcoming deployment I do not have the ability to complete an 8 week course and I do not want to pay the 415 for the excelsior test. My advisor is saying now clep or dsst will work.
Does anyone have any input, help, or advice that could help me find another way to fufill this credit.

The DSST
Technical Writing exam is very doable and should fit your needs nicely.
Good luck and THANK YOU for your service!

First, get more details from your advisor. Previously, CLEP and DSST did not count toward WER. Maybe something has changed recently. If not, consider Straighterline for this. Penn Foster may have an option, too. Please let us know what you find out.
Congratulations on being so close to finishing your degree! Thank you for your service!

Southwestern college-Kansas have 6 week English comp. I'm active duty Army and all I did was contact them about being a guest student. They were quick and was enrolled within a couple of days. Regionally accredited..BTW how's the EC capstone? I have to take it in March.

The capstone is easy, two five page papers, one powerpoint, one ten page paper, particpate in discussions...... pretty standard stuff
Ill look in those options, thanks everyone!
