Need Help with Excelsior Roadmap BSL
#1
Hi all, I am new to this forum.

I am also new to credits by exam. I recently enrolled at Excelsior to finish up my Bachelor of Science Degree in Liberal Arts, after my preliminary review. I'm missing the following credits. Does anyone have advice on what exams (preferably CLEP, DSST or ECE's) that would satisfy these credits? I know I want History to be one of my Depths.

Thanks for all suggestions.

It would help if you post any classes or exams you have taken. That way people aren't suggesting things you already have.

You certainly are close to a degree!

To fulfill those 15 upper-level Arts and Sciences hours, you could complete DSSTs in Intro to World Religions, Ethics in America, Criminal Justice, Rise and Fall of the Soviet Union, and the ECE World Conflicts since 1900.

For the 3 upper-level hours in any academic area, you could take the UL DSST Here's to Your Health or Substance Abuse.

To complete the Ethics requirement, you could take the DSST Business Ethics and Society. This will give you an "extra" credit, so that you will only need 18 lower-level hours in any academic area. You could fulfill these with 3 CLEPs: Analyzing and Interpreting Literature (6), Social Science and History (6), and Humanities or American or British Literature (6). You could replace one of these CLEPs with the no-cost TEEX Cybersecurity (6) series as well.

For a depth in History, you could take lower-level CLEPs American History I, American History II, Western Civ I or II, and the upper-level Civil War and Reconstruction.

For a depth in Psychology, you could take the lower-level CLEP Intro to Psychology, DSST Lifespan Developmental Psychology, CLEP Intro to Educational Psychology, and the upper-level ECE Abnormal Psychology.

Good luck with your studies!

@uptonsinclair Thanks very much. Most of my classes were Business and Humanities courses.

@KayV Thanks for your advice, you have given me an idea on what I need to do.
