Need Advice

Hello every one.

I am looking for advice from those who have experience. I am located in europe, so I cant use clep and other test for credit systems.

My final goal is a BA in military history for AMU, before reaching the 121 credits for the BA, I would like to get an associate on my way to BA.

mean while i have done all aleks tests and got them transcript. i have taken 8 tests.
i am planning to take as many courses i can through straighterline.

Money is an issue for me. Being in europe finding a proctor isnt so easy. so if possible i would prefer courses self paced and with a proctor. other than english i speak italian as well. I have the italian high school diploma. can this be used to get credits?

considering where i am gettting my credits, where can i get an associate? an associate in maths would be perfect.
where can i find courses that are good for ba in military history, but cost less that the 250 cr/hour that AMU charges.
No need to mention, but the degrees should be from RA institution.

Stupid question but why do Europeans always refer to math as maths?

NZ'ers and Australians call it maths too. I suppose it is like the US say 'mom' and we say mum.

A less stupid question I suppose would be: why every one calls it maths and those from US call it math?

kebrit - I know what you mean. Its short for mathematics so I guess maths is more accurate. When I hear maths I think of a plurality though. When a student says "I got an A in maths class" it just sounds wrong.

Tasman - I call my mom mum. She calls hers mum too. I am from western Pennsylvania so who knows.

Hi Kebrit,

Apologies for missing this post previously.

Just because you are not based in the US doesn't mean you can't pursue a bachelor's degree with the big 3 using CLEP/DSST/etc. I live in the UK and have racked up a fair few credits. I know of others based on the European mainland who have completed degrees with the big 3; it just requires additional planning.
