*Disclaimer: They're prioritizing military/veterans but also law enforcement/first responders, and females/minorities. It doesn't hurt to apply, but those are the main groups they're targetting.*
The program itself is being run by a collaboration of several colleges/universities. The site I signed up on is through Purdue University Northwest, but it looks like my initial courses will be through Ivy Tech.
There are 3 tracks. Each includes 6 courses but 3 are standard across all the programs.

This seems like a pretty awesome opportunity. Does anyone know if the credit will transfer or if its recommended? It seems like its not for credit which is a bummer.
I just applied, but should have no problem being accepted as a FF/EMT/Police Officer.

It's not transferable credit, as far as I can tell. It looks like you take CompTIA (and similar) exams and those may or may not be good for credit.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA
Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

I asked the question when I applied for the program. This was the response:
Quote:Will these classes be for academic credit with a GPA? – These are non-credit courses (but still at a college level). However, many will transfer into credit courses at the four consortium institutions (Ivy Tech, Purdue Northwest, University of North Carolina – Charlotte, or University of Tennessee – Chattanooga). At other institutions outside of these four, it will be up to that institution if they will accept any of the courses for transfer purposes. We can only speak for the four schools in our consortium.
As Rachel pointed out, several of the courses incorporate certifications that may transfer as credit to some schools like WGU and PUG.

Awesome, thanks for finding that out. Regardless, still good training!
