Here are some pics of my latest PC build, an oil submerged PC in a fish tank! Yes it works, it looks amazing and I don't know a single person who has one. I found out about this last week, apparently since mineral oil doesn't conduct electricity you can put electronics in it without fear of shorting out. Don't believe me? Toss a calculator in some vegetable oil (also doesn't conduct) and see what happens.
Sorry the pics aren't great, my camera has no batteries and the my wife and her iphone these were taken with is only home from work after dark lately.
I have one daylight picture but it's from before it was done, for one thing, no lights, and less decorative microchips strewn about the gravel.
It runs on linux booted from a flash drive and does not have an optical drive. The wireless card is visible in the new dark pictures but not the original (I had not figured out what to install yet). It is fully functional and runs great! It's 100% silent unless the air pump is on for the bubbles.

You have a computer that is submerged in mineral oil? I'm not quite sure what to say about that, but it sounds messy.

I'm so glad you like it! I have it set up better now with a proper hood. I'll take another picture :-D
It's amazingly easy to do, if you really like it you should try it

More pictures except in daylight with the new hood I got for free on craigslist. Computer is still running strong here a couple weeks after completion. I am currently using it to post this :-D
Notice how well the I/O panel fits into the pre-cut hole in the hood of the aquarium!
