So I took the Clep College Mathematics exam after putting it off for several months and I failed horribly. This is the only course that is stopping me from getting my AA. I decided the next stop was the Excelsior Contemporary Mathematics exam. Has anybody taken it? How hard was it? What study materials did you use?
Thanks in advance.

Is it possible for you to fulfill your requirement through ALEKS? If so, that is what I would recommend.
I don't know what the future holds, but I know Who holds the future.

If you failed CLEP College Math horribly
please don't go to a similar ECE exam as your next recourse.
Unlike not passing a CLEP, not passing an ECE will result in a letter grade of F that could ding a future GPA calculation. Even if it doesn't affect your GPA at TESC, or whatever school you'd transfer the math credit to, graduate schools typically make their own GPA average over all schools from which you've earned credit.
Consider the
TECEP exam in Applied Liberal Arts Mathematics. TECEPs are pass/fail – and further, if you don't pass a TECEP, this event is not transcripted by TESC.

My college is Florida adheres to The Gordon Rule. After barely passing College Algebra my options are:
-Advanced Placement
-Cambridge AICE
-International Baccalaureate
-CLEP
-DSST
-Excelsior College Exams
Thanks for the heads up on the GPA regarding the ECE exam....I did not know that.

Would your college accept the DSST in Statistics as math (not a stats) credit? You can use Khan Academy to prep for it.
BA, MA, EdS, MMT, etc.
83 hours of ACE-worthy credits

Is Everyday Math the same as the ECE contemporary Mathematics, because I didn't see Everyday Math listed as a course?
