This is my "I'm done" thread that I thought I'd never be able to write....BUT....thanks to the help of this forum, in a big way, I am done. BA in Natural Science and Mathematics from TESC. Will graduate in December.
I started at TESC in January 2011 with 53.5 units from a community college. Finished my last class at the end of June. Took some time to recover from a bad motorcycle accident and then spent the last couple of weeks getting back into the paperwork, applying for grad school, work, etc.
Two weeks ago I started my Professional Masters in Biotechnology at California State University San Marcos. It's weird being in an actual classroom. lol
I can't thank the people in here enough. The advice, guidance, the links, the encouragement. I owe you all so much and if I could meet each one of you I'd shake your hands, buy you a steak and a beer.
Thank you. :hurray:

Congratulations on your NS/M degree!!! I'm buying the beverages my friend! cheersmate
Wowza, Masters in Biotechnology huh? Can I just say JACKPOT!!!! I'm so excited for you while at the same time green with envy over here. :roflol: And going to school in what is quickly becoming the Biotech Mecca (not to slight those in NC), that was an excellent decision. I'm sure you will develop many rewarding relationships while in your program that will serve you well in your professional career! My prof godfather (aka mentor) is currently in San Carlos at a biotech company, when he first went out two years ago he was in Cupertino. Of course we follow the trends, as you know the field you are entering is an extremely compact, mainly privately owned, research community that pioneers compounds that will serve society well into the future. And you are going to play a part in this industry! WhooHoooo!!! Congratulations...I'm telling you I am just so darn jealous! And believe me that does not happen often.
Great weather, great people, boatloads of cash, and solid research!!!! :hurray:
Maybe we will run into each other one day at a conference; it's a small world. Good luck and enjoy the ride!!!!
