I received an email from Veteran Recruiting advertising a training and employment program for Cell Technicians. Here is an excerpt:
"Verizon has developed a 5-week training program that will give you the opportunity to understand how our cell and switch sites operate while receiving comprehensive hands-on experience supporting our Network Operations' teams."
*Network Architecture overview
*Core and Job Specific technical training
* market specific training
etc.
Must be able to train by May 15, application deadline apr 15. Must have held a signal/communications military occupation or civilian equivalent.
I got this info from a website i joined called http://www.veterancareerfairs.com. the verizon fair is tomorrow march 10, 2015. There is probably a way to go directly to verizon for this opportunity, but I haven't really looked into it passed this email. If you have other questions, i would contact verizon's veterans advisors, or the veterancareerfairs people. Happy hunting.
To site admins: I receive lots of work opportunity messages from my veteran's networks and would like to start spreading the news here. I have no financial or personal gain from this beside the satisfaction of helping out fellow veterans. If this is a problem, please PM me and let me know and I'll stop immediately.

Don't waste time by trying to save time. The only sure way to complete your degree is to knock out credits quickly and efficiently.
Don't let easiness bite you in the rear. Know your endgame (where you want to be) and plan backward from there. Your education is a means to an end.
Be honest professionally, socially and academically. There are people (especially little ones) who look up to you and they're going by your example.
Be proud. Whether you're an Engineer or Fast Food worker, there is honor and dignity in hard work.
Picking on people weaker than you only proves that you are a weak person.
