This feels like that old rhetorical move where a politician rails, "they're spending $50,000 to research the sex life of fishes!" And they expect us to dutifully jeer the outwardly silly topic. But on closer examination there's often a legitimate reason for the project that the politician omitted, like fish populations in a specific lake have collapsed threatening the local tourist economy, or it was salary for a new assistant professor of biology and most of their time is teaching undergraduate courses to pre health professions students in a region with a long-term shortage.

Remember when DOGE said they blocked $50 million in condoms to Gaza because Hamas make bombs from them. Days later it was found that there is no evidence of that plan even existing?

Most governments don’t want USAID funds flowing into their countries because they understand where much of that money actually ends up.

While marketed as support for development, democracy, and human rights, the majority of these funds are funneled into opposition groups, NGOs with political agendas, and destabilizing movements.

At best, maybe 10% of the money reaches real projects that help people in need (there are such cases), but the rest is used to fuel dissent, finance protests, and undermine administrations that refuse to align with the globalist agenda.

Cutting this so-called aid isn’t just beneficial for the United States; it’s also a big win for the rest of the world.

I voted for my representatives, not for President Musk. For a party that constantly talks about the importance of upholding the constitution, they sure seem to have no problem ignoring it for their own personal agenda.
