Music and/ or Performing Arts Majors

Are there any other music or performing arts students out there?

I am doing the BA Music at TESC and there are some unique issues with getting the UL and any performance courses I need. I would expect any performing arts majors within the appropriate concentrations at COSC or EC would have similar experiences. Want to share?

I am also doing a BA in Music at TESC. I have nearly everything done except the music concentration. I'm looking for all options- what have you found? How are you covering the required Theory and History courses? I know TESC now offers an online option for one (can't think of which off the top of my head) but it's obviously $$. I was considering going to the local college and asking if they would let me test out of theory and history.

I am probably going to do a PLA through learningcounts.org (simply because it's 1/6 the cost of TESC's PLA) to cover my UL music.

So glad you posted. I have got a ton of hard won info, suggestions, and contact info on this subject. I have not used this feature before, but I'm going to try to send you a private message that will contain my personal email so we can get into this topic at a level that is inappropriate for this forum. I think all you have to do to see the message is to click on the "Private Message" menu item above. You may have to edit your settings to get it.

It's nice to know there's a fellow traveler at TESC! I have my whole degree plan approved and am targeting completion by the end of this summer.
