Ok, so I need the advice and suggestions from the great minds here! I'm currently in a post-bacc program, but if I take one more class I can graduate with another bachelor's degree. Since I already have two, I'm not sure it matters, but I thought it might be worth seeing if I can find an exam to satisfy the extra class. The course is Global Ethics and they have assigned it an UL philosphy number. The course description is copied below. I'm wondering if the DSST Ethics in America or Business Ethics and Society will satisfy this requirement. Has anyone had any luck doing just that for a similar course? I have already taken healthcare issues in culturally diverse populations as a course at EC and the ECE Ethics: theory and practice. At this point they haven't applied either of these since they think I'm just doing the post-bacc cert. They do require a cultural studies class, that I believe they used the EC course in transfer. I'm just trying to look at my options before I contact them about the ECE Ethics exam. Any feedback on whether is it better to go for the degree vs the certificate and/or suggestions on the course are welcomed! If you have any other suggestion on a comparable way to get this credit please let me know, as this school runs about $300 cr/hr or $900 for this course.
PHL 350 - GLOBAL ETHICS
This course looks at a broad spectrum of international issues â from global climate change and sustainability, human rights to gender discrimination â in a context that considers both sides of the dilemma and seeks for an ethical way forward. The class uses concepts in economics, philosophy, political science, history, sociology and anthropology in its attempt to analyze global problems and decide how best to address the various ethical issues.
Thanks!
