Well at least he should be able to afford a decent attorney.  It sounds like he'll need a real good one.

I don't know about his tax woes but it is hard to see what has happened to Michael Saylor. By looking at his past success (one of the longest tenured tech CEO) and his attempt to help rectify the woes of higher ed with Saylor Academy it sucks to see him take a big hit. Very smart guy.....just odd he really over leveraged so much on Bitcoin. I guess if went the other way....he would be herald a genius.

Bitcoin is up 50% since this thread started. Given how much Bitcoin that company owns, that stock should go up and down with the price of Bitcoin.

I haven't owned bitcoin directly in a couple of years, but I do like to have a little money sitting in crypto. MSTR is my exposure. I view it much like I view my precious metals- a hedge.

BTW, a little more news to add to this thread, earlier this year the judge dismissed the False Claims Act portion of D.C.'s action against Michael Saylor.

Bitcoin was between $19,500 and $20,500 when this thread started.
That was 15 months ago.
Right now it is at $41,364.

Microstrategy 1 year ago- Opened at $202.02
Microstrategy today- Opened at $1,550.00

FWIW, I bought just over a year ago and have sold over 80% of my shares and have locked in a very nice profit. Will probably sell the last of my shares if/when BTC hits $100,000. To me it is pure speculation. Cathie Wood is in, so I'm basically out Smile

I pay taxes like I am supposed to, but frankly - between the gross mismanagement of the federal debt, along with the printing presses at the Fed, and I question why we should even bother.

We are barreling towards trading wallets for wheelbarrows sooner than later, so let's do away with the song and dance with the taxman! LOL

LOL pretty much. I'd wear it as much as the last birthday gag shirt I got... (which is often!)
