I just need OPM-301 Operations Management.

I can get this either with a $77 TECLEP or by reactivating my study.com membership for $199.

Any feedback or advice would be greatly appreciated (even if it's just "don't do it dude, just focus on the eight courses you're taking")

feedback: If price is part of decision between those, the TECEP is $77 per credit not per exam for that UL course.  77 x 3 = 231. makes the price closer on those.

for info on format of the TECEP https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_D57...6c3Eo/edit
and compare that to the length of course at SDC and the essay for the course, which is on sdc site.

no advice on whether should or should not.

That actually makes a huge difference. SDC is cheaper, I have about 12% completion on it from other courses I completed and I can work on it all month in little bits and pieces in-between my other assignments. Thank you very much, I totally missed that.

Ok. I have to ask. What do you do for a living, where instrumentation and controls, and PLCs are considered fun? As a power plant controls tech, they don’t even sound fun to me anymore! Hahahaha those are classes that are usually used for the technical degrees (electrical, nuclear).

That gave me a legit LOL

I'm an IT guy now that does some database management and Tier 2 support for the customers of an e-commerce website.

But, in my previous lives I was a field tech in various technologies and I did more hands on stuff and I miss it. I think one day it would be awesome to be able to build cosplay, props and sets that use fun tech to make them come alive. Perhaps on a YouTube channel.
Like turning Nerf blasters into sci-looking guns and turning a home office into a starfighter cockpit.

Until I finish my masters, these things will stay daydreams.

I’m a chemical plant operator for the last 18 years & instrumental, controls & PLC are a daily part of my job & use for troubleshooting & sometimes I have to fix things myself on night’s & weekends. Fun, not to me, but some of my coworkers eat it up.
