D370 writing 2 essays, IT Leadership Foundations

I started "IT Leadership Foundations - D370", and it was suggested I could zip through the class if I just focused on writing the essays. I'm a super slow reader and memorizer, so basically zipping through all the class material, and focusing on the essays would help me a lot.  I looked on reddit, and people were completing the class in a few days, and in one case, a few hours.  Will this work? If the essays don't refer to the course material, it seems like it could work.  If I have to cite quotes from the course material, then I will need to know it. Has anyone recently zipped through this class by basically focusing on just the two essays?
