Can't really go wrong with UMPI, WGU and the other choices mentioned.

The thing with WGU that trips some people up are the fast finishes, and that concerns some from a reputation standpoint. But those fast finishes are actually rare when compared to the overall finishing times of the general WGU student body. The big advantage to WGU is that you'll join a pretty large alumni base. While there isn't much opportunity to network in the normal fashion, there is strength in numbers and there is a chance you may run into someone down the road in a position to hire or refer who also studied with WGU.

They need enough requests for it. UMPI is a VERY SMALL school - 1100 on campus and 150 in YourPace. They only started their on campus computer degree in January so it's still brand new. It will take time and demand to add it to YourPace.

Agree but someone has to start dropping this idea to their minds, otherwise it will never materialize
Hopefully it wont take too long to get it done

They need a lot of requests not 5 or 6. People have to contact the school about it not post on here.

100% agree with ss20ts. I highly recommend telling the school, hey, I want computer science. Telling them "hey a lot of people want it" won't work, they need individuals who want it online.

I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a good masters program. Here is where I am at. I am currently leaning towards WGU for their Masters of Business Administration Management degree. It seems it can be done quickly and relatively cheaply. I am a bit nervous about the WGU name. I do understand it is a totally legit college but I am also checking to see if there is something better out there. I have a preference for a business masters but I am also open to any other ideas based off my transcript.

Things I want: (I realize you can't often get it all)

Quicker completion time
Relatively straightforward coursework
Low cost tuition

My UMPI GPA should be at about 3.8/3.9 upon graduation.

I'll take any thoughts, comments, concerns!

The flagship Univ of Maine looks to have some high quality programs. I wonder if you could use the UMPI degree to get in there with some type of scholarships based on your GPA and affiliate alumni status.

Without taking away from any of the previous suggestions, I'd just want to point out that there are a lot of 1 year online MBA programs out there

U of Maine out of state tuition is ridiculous. It's rare to get a scholarship for grad school there especially for out of state students. They tried to get me to enroll, but I passed. WGU is MUCH cheaper and faster.

I remember seeing some type of alumni discount, but I'll have to check with the school.  To be honest, I really like the whole Maine public college system. UMPI is a step forward.
