Masters Degree in Counselling, NJ
#1
I'm looking to earn my Masters in Counseling and to obtain a NJ state license along with it. I recently submitted my application to Seton Hall and it turns out their program is no longer accredited. It would have been perfect because I do work two jobs and their program was online. So now they are refunding the application fee. Anyone have any ideas, suggestions? I need an accredited program. Thanks

If you are talking about CACREP accreditation, good luck. There are a few, just hit up CACREPs website and search from there. There is only one state that has a set requirement of "Program must be CACREP accredited" and that is Oregon. Liberty University has geared their program for licensure (not CACREP accredited but meets the requirements outlined) in around 45 states and I will be starting there in the fall.

ETA: There are 8 online accredited CACREP programs. They are Adams State College (2), Agrosy, Capella (3), Regent, and Walden. For various reasons I chose Liberty even though it doesn't have the accredidation.

ETA2: I just saw that as of 2012 all graduates have to graduate from a CACREP accredited program for licensure in New Jersey. There are your options for distance learning.
