Hello. I'd like to earn a secondary master's like generic MBA from WGU. I already have MSN in healthcare administration and management. Which courses satisfy WGU requirement for MBA from Sophia, EdX, Study.com etc? I'd like to possibly take additional courses over the summer to finishing degree sooner. Thanks for your help!

WGU recently slightly liberalized graduate transfer credit. You can review transfer guidelines for each WGU degree here.
Two courses can be transferred into the MBA in Healthcare Management, each equivalent to 3 graduate CUs: one in organizational behavioral leadership (towards C200 Managing Organizations and Leading People) and another in business ethics or ethical leadership (towards C206 Ethical Leadership). For the generic MBA, one additional course can be transferred, also for 3 graduate CUs: in business communication for leaders (towards C204 Management Communication).
There are no known ACE courses in these subjects available to the general public at the graduate level, which is essential. There are an extremely few NCCRS graduate courses in business, but as of last report WGU has never taken NCCRS credit.
You might be able to pioneer the tactic of taking graduate courses from a low-cost college that isn't WGU and transferring the credit to WGU. Because WGU is friendly to nationally accredited credit, you might see if you could match those courses at Nexford University or Bottega University. But it might not save much or any cost or time over completing the courses at WGU.
It's also possible WGU might accept one or more courses you've already completed toward your MSN in healthcare administration toward one or more of their transferable courses!

I believe you need to reach out to the advisor for an update on the transfer credit policy. I checked, and I believe WGU has changed their policy. They are now accepting transfer credits from other universities. You need to find the same courses and match the syllabus and description of the course, so you can transfer the graduate-level credits.
The WGU website: "WGU accepts limited college transfer credits at the graduate (master’s) level in some degree programs. There are special requirements to receive graduate-level transfer credit that vary by program. Please speak with your enrollment counselor for more information."

WGU's current published Transfer Guidelines for each MBA program ( generic, healthcare management, IT management) imply otherwise. They describe WGU reviewing transcripts from "previously attended institutions" to award transfer credit for up to two or three specified transferable courses in each degree.
This reflects WGU very recently opening the door to graduate transfer credit a little more than it had been before, I believe.

Yes, I updated my previous comments, and WGU has made slight changes to their transfer credit policy. It's very challenging to match courses for transfer credits. Additionally, other universities will cost more tuition than WGU. WGU is quite affordable.

@LadyWithCats, Welcome to the board, it's great you're asking questions, but you're not providing the overall picture for us to really figure this out for you. Basically, where did you get the MSN? Was it from WGU? Sophia.org, Study.com, and many ACE providers only have undergrad level ACE credit. You really have a couple of options, either take the classes at WGU and finish them quickly or as mentioned, get the grad credit elsewhere and transfer them in, but most likely these institutions charge much more and will take longer to complete.

For an MBA, perhaps the free/cheap graduate certificate from ASU would be a good source of graduate credits?

Hello. Here is a little more info. Thanks for the extra details too! MSN in Administration and Management obtained from Aspen University. It's regular 8 week course work for 10 classes. I think 3 or 4 classes can count toward MBA. I never used Sophia or other quick course work classes as when I started school it wasn't an option. I also have AS in Bio, AA in liberal arts, and AS in nursing plus crap load of other under grad classes. Currently, i figured I can get MBA in 6 months to a year before going for DNP. MSN, MBA and DNP are for my own personal achievements rather than "career" growth for now. I'm not in a management or leadership role.
