MBA before Bachelor's..

I wholeheartedly agree with this statement.

Does this mean you would be in favor of foregoing, at least initially, a BALS in lieu of an ENEB MBA?

Thank you kindly for yout comment, K.

I was being farcical.

However, irrespective of institution or how it's perceived, I feel having an MBA in one's (my) repertoire, in the current state of employ, certainly wouldn't hurt matters.
You don't think being able to claim an MBA (I know some here would contest this statement) would be beneficial to one's current or future position within an organization, vs not being able to claim an MBA?

In the case of ENEB… no.  It’s really not a true MBA.  I know a lot of people will disagree because they did all sorts of additional leg work to find an in-road somewhere.  It’s not impossible to find that little odd use.  But as someone who signed up, tried it, then enrolled in an actual MBA program… it’s really not the same.

I have always been one to dig in to things that I am not familiar with.  If I were in a position to evaluate a person’s MBA (for hiring , promotion, etc.), I can assure you that I would have looked up this ENEB/Isabel thing and I would have found the Groupon offers.   I would have found this forum with the debates.  It would give me negative vibes and it would give you the opposite of street cred, (is there a term for that?).  I have done exactly this type of search when an Accounting Manager seemed to be clueless about certain things and found that her online school was closed down for some sketchy stuff.  It definitely impacted my view of her in a negative way.

You will get much more mileage finishing that Bachelor’s degree and then moving on to an RA Masters, if you want one.  Don’t waste time and money on a lark.

Another option is just completing the BALS and skipping the BSBA combo I mentioned, ladder that up to WGU MSML/MBA and call it a day. If WGU is not your first choice, you can try your hand at another such as the $3K HAU MBA. I think this option would be better, finishing now with a degree in hand is better than 'waiting' for transfers and then have no degree...

You should definitely finish the Bachelor's degree. I would not recommend ENEB as a substitute for any foundational degree but rather as a supplemental degree for professional development. You may be able to complete the ENEB Masters and get an equivalency of a Bachelors from the foreign credential evaluator ECE. However, I know that Michael has had some issues with ENEB being considered non-accredited by atleast one school without consideration given to Isabel I's certification which denied him admission to another Master's degree without a Bachelor's degree.

Some employers will accept an ENEB Masters without a Bachelor's, some won't. If you are someone with atleast 10 years work experience, it probably won't matter much. However, if you are at the beginning of your career, your degree will matter the most and you should have a fully accredited degree from a appropriately accredited school.

Taking the MBA debate off the board, your HR scenario does not exist. HR is not scrubbing the internet to search your school or entering forums and reading threads. The scenario sounds more like a Netflix series than any real-world example. HR runs your background and degree into systems that spit out results; for the lion's share of organizations, that is all that happens in connection to your degree.

It's fair to have an opinion on ENEB or any other school, but these doomsday scenarios are not connected to reality.

As for the OP, I would not bypass getting a bachelor's degree; instead, as suggested, either leverage a completed ENEB degree(s) for transfer credit into TESU or take the most efficient option now and get a bachelor's degree at UMPI. There are countless transfer credit options; if you work hard enough, you can complete it in one or two terms.

If they work for a paranoid type A CEO it does.  That’s where I learned it… in the real world.  I was researching every unknown person who came through the door.  It’s how I immediately knew the board planned to close the company.  A new President was hired and when I looked him up, I saw that he’s the guy businesses call to wind down a business.   And that’s exactly what they hired him to do.  Those habits don’t go away easily. It’s been 20 years and I still have that tendency.

You’d better bet that if someone is touting a credential in order to qualify for a job, a smart person will make sure the credential has merit. I never worked anywhere that relied on a computer system to determine if a college is legit.  It’s been all humans.  It doesn’t take much “scrubbing” to find the info.  Maybe five minutes of smart searching.

Never underestimate the stupidty of those doing the hiring. I once had someone interviewing me who thought my degree from Excelsior College in New York was not from a real college. He then told me about his degree from Regents College in New York. He didn't even know the name of the college he went to had its name changed from Regents College to Excelsior College. I wonder if he knows now that Excelsior College is now Excelsior University?

DOH!  Now there’s someone who’s not paying attention.  My college changed their name recently.  It was posted everywhere, they sent emails to alumni, they sent mail to us, it was in the newsletter.. etc. etc.  I imagine Regents/Excelsior did the same… both times.
