taylor Wrote:Congrats again! Very positive post, I especially like the advice on sacrificing some of your hobbies and modifying certain activities. You really are a Powerpuff Girl=)

Awww thank you!!! I'm glad you appreciated the hobby comment.. this is how I explain it to people who say they don't have the time, yet somehow manage to keep up on the latest reality tv shows. Instead of knowing all about American Idol, you can get a degree!! Wink

Thanks to everyone else as well - you are the best.

And thanks Shotojuku - I really never thought it was possible to join this club!!!

I knew you could do it, and I knew you'd be great at it!!! I remember when you started, a hearty congratulations to you!!

For those who didn't pick up on it, hers was a BILINGUAL MBA program. No better way to master a new language than have classes taught in another language! You're awesome! Congratulations!!!

Thank you!!!

I am really struggling with the "what's next" question. I thought I would be happy to finish, but after dedicating the past three years of my life to finishing up the undergrad then getting an MBA, I feel a little bit of post-MBA depression lol. I achieved a goal that I never thought possible and now I want to have something equally cool to focus on and can't figure it out.

DH had started clepping with me a while back, but stopped. I told him that I would do it with him if he wanted to start back up... not sure what that would mean - a psych degree? Also, DS is S L O W L Y working through FEMA's and CLEP's, so even if DH doesn't do it, I'll be here helping DH.

I do need to learn French, but this doesn't feel as exciting as having a tangible goal to work for, so..... lots of thinking to do!!!!

@sanantone - lol not a bad idea, but not sure if I have the patience. I've been working enough in French-speaking countries this year that I can understand quite a bit. It's kind of the same problem I used to have with Portuguese, where the basics were too easy, but I couldn't really speak. It's why I ended up using a ton of free resources to get the basics improved and then just got private lessons. I think I can get my company to pay for them since I've been having a lot of luck in N. Africa and will be back next month.... we'll see...

@scorched - the end really does seem far away, but as long as you stick to a plan, it goes quickly. I kept my spreadsheet with tests and dates and focused on it seriously. I stuck to my deadlines about 90% of the time, but would typically do a test a week or every two weeks. The timing doesn't really matter; the trick is to just keep moving forward and you'll be done in no time!
