MAOL
#1
I was thinking about going back to UMPI for the MAOL after completing my degree last summer. Is anyone currently enrolled in it? I know Nick had issues with some things so I was wondering if that had been fixed.

Hi Lupeb! Do not hesitate on taking the MAOL. The MAOL is "a lot of work" but I don't really regret the experience. If you did a BA at UMPI you only have to take 9 classes. They have made significant changes from what I found from talking to a few others. The work isn't as intense as it was for me now.

You can always take a term, if you don't like it, transfer your credits elsewhere.

Do you know what changed in the MAOL?

From how it is described they reduced the amount of total essays and the intensity of the essays. The milestones are more infographic and concept based. The assignments are now more 2-3 page assignments versus 8-10 page assignments.

That sounds much more reasonable! I would expect 3-5 pages for a grad essay, but it felt like you were writing an 8-10 page essay every other day.
In progress:

Sounds like good changes. That one class where you wrote over 200 pages was absolutely insane. Dissertations aren't even that long! 2-3 pages is more reasonable for the assignments.

Which classes did you not have to take?

OLS 550 Team Leadership and Collaboration is subbed by BUS 335 Organizational Behavior
OLS 610 Leadership and Business Operations is subbed by BUS 440 Business Analytics
OLS 620 Strategic Communications is subbed by BUS 469 Strategic Professional Communication

you had to have taken the 335, 440, and 469 by UMPI otherwise you need to take the grad level one.

MAOL milestones mostly require that 8-10 pages response, 3- 5 pages body prompt  (not including the cover page, the reference page & the takeaway page analysis)- MAOL  is brutal (In my option), I dedicated all my nights, some days every day to finish within my planned timeframe and I barely made it.

Sitting back, waiting on them to print the diploma and mail it to me.
