Any certifications or military experience?: None.
Budget: Looking for an affordable option, but more concerned about the time required.

Dedicated time to study: Approximately 10 hours a week.
Hello everyone,
I'm currently planning to advance my career by pursuing a Level 7 Diploma followed by an UK MBA top-up and am considering two options: OTHM and ATHE. I have also looked into NCC's Level 7 Diploma in Business Management (L7DBM), but it does not offer direct online programs anymore, requiring attendance through partner centers worldwide.
Both the OTHM and ATHE diplomas are in Strategic Management and carry 120 credits, which are essential for the MBA top-up. In the UK education system, a master's degree is usually comprised of 180 credits. A Level 7 Diploma is 120 credits, and an MBA top-up program is 60 credits, totaling 180 credits (120 + 60).
One key aspect for me is the balance between work and study. As I am currently working full time, the time cost matters more to me than the program cost. I am looking for a program that is not too intensive and allows a good balance between my professional responsibilities and my studies.
From my research, while both OTHM and ATHE are well-recognized, OTHM seems to have a broader range of associated UK universities for the MBA top-up, which might offer more flexibility in terms of choosing a program that fits my needs. They differ slightly in cost, with OTHM at around £1,000 and ATHE at approximately £1,500.
Since this decision is crucial, I want to ensure I'm not overlooking any potential drawbacks or other factors.
Has anyone here gone through either of these routes or have insights on the reputation and acceptance of these diplomas for MBA top-ups in the UK? Any feedback on the actual process, challenges, workload, or any other considerations would be greatly appreciated.
I have been through this kind of Level x Diploma + Top-up route before and am very pleased with that. Previously, I have done a Level 5 Diploma, then proceeded to a Bachelor with Honours top-up program. I would like to follow the same experience and try at a higher level.
Looking forward to your thoughts and advice!
Thank you!
