Has anyone tried asking mentors to fill out recommendation letters at TESU...? Given everything is online and there isn't much interaction aside from marking work. Is that a thing?

There's a process to request letters of recommendation from mentors or your school's dean:

I asked two. One said no and the other wanted me to write it for him. I decided to seek them elsewhere.

Since you're taking classes at TESU, you can follow these steps provided. I would get as many recommendations as possible, so you can decide on which ones to use for your future applications...

Thanks everyone, how would the dean know you any better than your mentors...? (Seeing how we have no interaction with the dean...?)

I assume it'd be a generic/template letter.

I asked my capstone professor at TESU for one, because he had sent me an email saying I had the top grade in the class. He would not write a letter of recommendation though. He said his policy was to only write letters of recommendation who had taken two or more classes from him. I have not had problems getting letters of recommendation from anyone else though, including professors.

Thank you. I guess there is no harm in asking early for a letter from them. Is it better to ask before the course ends?
What about a letter where they receive a link to be filled in..? How do you ask for those?
