I have the DSST study guide and downloaded the book that has the practice test in it, just seeing how hard it is. I mean I passed BLaw and Stats, I can get thru this one, right?
Hey there! I am not a number person, which is shown by the fact that this is the only test I failed. I failed the DSST version, but I was able to take the CLEP version. So that may be an option for you.
As far as studying... the biggest tip I can give you is follow the DANTES outline and then MEMORIZE IMPORTANT INFORMATION! Here's what I did. Find a way to remember large number of information. I used mostly mnemonics to help me remember the equations. Example: BALE is the balance sheet: assets = liabilities - expenses. Then practice writing out a everything you think you need to know. I had a page of equations and facts that I wrote out over and over and over. Then when you go in to take the test, get some scratch paper and write everything you can think of on there BEFORE you start the test! Then when you need an equation or a fact, instead of having to pull it out of your brain somewhere, it's all written down!
That was the biggest thing I did that helped me on the test. Honestly, I blocked out most of that experience from my mind...
